About Dr Deepak Chohan
Dr Deepak Chohan is a Cambridge-trained Emergency Physician with over 20 years of medical experience across Australia and the United Kingdom. She is the founder of Doctor Dee Longevity, where she combines evidence-based medicine, regenerative therapies, and advanced longevity-focused treatments within a premium, medically led clinical environment.
Cambridge Foundation
Dr Chohan initially studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, where she was based at Churchill College. During her studies, she undertook advanced scientific training in molecular cell biology, biochemistry, biology of organisms, pathology, and psychology. Her early academic focus on the biological sciences continues to shape her deep interest in human health, ageing, inflammation, tissue regeneration, and preventative medicine.
During her time at Cambridge, Dr Chohan experienced a significant personal medical event after becoming severely unwell and initially being misdiagnosed, before later being found to have gangrenous appendicitis. This experience profoundly influenced her decision to transition into medicine, giving her both a scientific and deeply human understanding of patient care.
She subsequently changed course and continued her medical studies at the University of Cambridge, completing her pre-clinical medical training before undertaking clinical medicine training based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, one of the United Kingdom’s leading teaching hospitals. During this period, she also participated in surgical research and presented at the Colorectal Surgical Conference in Edinburgh. Dr Chohan graduated with a 2:1 degree classification.
Early Academic Role
Following qualification, Dr Chohan remained in Cambridge where she worked as an Anatomy Demonstrator, teaching anatomy to medical students during cadaveric dissection sessions. This role involved supervising and teaching students in detailed anatomical dissection and remains one of the formative experiences underpinning her strong procedural and anatomical expertise today.
Medical Training in Australia
After relocating to Australia in 2007, Dr Chohan worked at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney for five years as a resident medical officer across multiple specialties including general medicine, intensive care, and emergency medicine. This broad-based hospital training provided extensive experience in the management of critically unwell patients across a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.
Emergency Medicine Career
Dr Chohan later specialised in Emergency Medicine and became a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) in 2015. She subsequently worked at The Canberra Hospital as an Emergency Medicine Fellow, where she gained significant experience managing complex major trauma, critically ill patients, resuscitation medicine, and high-acuity emergency presentations.
Since then, Dr Chohan has worked across multiple hospitals within Sydney as both a Visiting Medical Officer and Staff Specialist Emergency Physician. Her extensive emergency medicine background provides a uniquely high level of procedural expertise, patient safety awareness, diagnostic precision, and clinical oversight which now informs every aspect of her regenerative and longevity practice.
Focus at Doctor Dee Longevity
At Doctor Dee Longevity, Dr Chohan focuses on evidence-based regenerative and preventative medicine designed to optimise health, confidence, vitality, and long-term wellbeing. Her areas of interest include high-dose PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapies for joints, skin, and hair restoration, ultrasound-guided regenerative injections, RF microneedling, collagen stimulation, skin rejuvenation, and holistic longevity medicine.
Dr Chohan believes that longevity medicine should focus not only on outward appearance, but on maintaining physical health, mental wellbeing, mobility, vitality, and quality of life for as many years as possible. Her philosophy combines scientific rigour, medical safety, and personalised patient care with an emphasis on natural regeneration and evidence-based treatment approaches.
